The paintings in this show explore “home” as a feeling of comfort and connectedness, warmth and belonging. This feeling is most often captured in those rare moments when “all is right with the world” or when there is a sense of grace or peace. Sometimes “home” is felt through a moment of light in natural surroundings. Youthful dreams or the comforts of childhood are paths to “home” when rediscovered. “Home” can also be found simply in the everyday objects and gestures that recall memories of those we love.
